I worked for four years at Professional Music Technology (PMT) in sales and general repairing, fault finding, servicing and setting up instruments before branching out on my own.
In 2013 to set up my own business/workshop offering a service second to none in the east of England. My 30 years background in music, musical instrument retail, music technology and attention to detail has helped me develop a good reputation with an excellent quality of service to each and every customer.
I have the perfect studio now fitted out as a full workshop. I can supply parts from all major manufactures, offering a one stop shop for all you musical instrument needs, service and supply.
All types of stringed instruments can be taken care of: electric guitars, semi-acoustic, acoustic, basses, etc. My services offer everything from a simple restring to a full blown restoration. I commonly provide restrings, setups, replacing hardware, upgrading pickups, electrics service.
I am able to offer a few extras with servicing which covers:
•Full fret dressing and re-fretting of maple and rosewood finger boards.
•Body routing for pick-up upgrades and custom hardware.
•Custom guitar projects-including hardware, pick-ups and custom wiring.
•Structural work-Fractured head stocks, neck whiplash, Cracked heal and general body repairs.
•Amplifier repairs from guitar combo's to bass heads, be it valve or transistor/solid-state.
I am happy to help or advise so please get in touch via the contact details below, using email, text, message me on face-book or the old fashioned way call and make an appointment. Generally there is a 7 day turn-around on instruments depending on availability of parts, fast track is available on some items but comes with a small additional charge. Amplifiers normally require 2 weeks but are also dependent on part availability.
Finding me is quite easy, I'm only a stone’s throw away from PMT. My workshop is upstairs at FSG Signs and Graphics, just off the roundabout on the inner ring road at the back of Anglia square. You can pull into the forecourt at the front of FSG or the gravel car park to the right of the main building. Please ring my door bell at the goods in door next to my business name plaque, just by the left as you go through to the gravel car park. Please give me a minute to answer as it take a bit of time to from my workshop.
Alternatively customers can drop their instruments off at PMT outside of my working hours as a service point. Please contact me first if you wish to take advantage of this option.
